🙋♀️ Her Thoughts
After a month of what seemed like a home arrest, I needed to getaway. Having been used to travelling 7 months a year I developed some serious ‘travel fever’ and wasn’t getting along with the nasty COVID-19.
While travelling is not really an option at this time and most hotels are closed or didn't provide for social distancing, we looked into booking an Airbnb for the weekend. This turned out to be a great idea and I am so happy we went on a little adventure. Truth to be told I was starting to go crazy in the city, and the Seawall wasn’t particularly safe during the sunny days.
It’s funny how during isolation, even little getaways seem like a great adventure. Packing an overnight bag and getting stocked up on groceries felt amazing and fun. And of course being in a nice cabin, cooking delicious food, sipping wine in front of the fire and watching old movies felt like Christmas Holiday once again.
If you’re longing for a little getaway during the quarantine, we highly recommend exploring AirBnb options in BC. You ca get a really good deal and have an amazing little adventure despite it all 😊
When P first suggested this to me I was a little leery. We're supposed to be locked down right now and going out and about was a bit concerning to me. With that said, after we arrived everything changed. Whistler is a ghost town right now, it's a lot safer than staying stuck in the city!
Going hiking is on my bucket list of things to do while I'm in Vancouver and our hike there didn't disappoint. I'm from Ontario so mountains aren't something I'm used to seeing (unless you count our ski hills as mountains) so seeing them up close like this is always inspiring. BC does have some of the most beautiful scenery around.
