Quietness and Steam Rooms Make For A Great Hangover Cure
Our Date Experience
I’ve been here before, but I certainly never experienced the Scandinavian Spa in the winter, after a day of riding and a long night out. This was magical, quite and peaceful. Just what I needed on that day. One thing I would personally add to our experience is a 90 minute massage. The Spa has an early morning and late evening massage special so next time I would definitely aim to come earlier or later in the day to get best of it.
For me this was a very special and different experience with my man as he got to witness me being quiet for a change. I also liked the healthy snack bar in the main building, the menu reminded me of a cafe in Bali which definitely contributed to the overall satisfaction.
I'll be honest - this was my first time at a spa. Like most men my dream day doesn't exactly include self pampering. That being said, if you've had a late night out at Whistler and need a pick me up the Scandinavian spa is the place to be. When we first walked in I thought P had taken me to a cult gathering. Everyone is in robes and you're not allowed to talk, and especially not allowed to bring a phone in.
As soon as we sat down in the sauna all of my doubts disappeared though. The steam room and sleep rooms were my personal favourite, we even got a day bed to sleep together in which was cool. The robes make you look like a ninja so that's pretty cool too. Overall I wouldn't suggest doing this every weekend but it's a great way to relax and recover if you need it.
