20 Movies for Her and for Him to Watch as a Couple

Having a movie night in is great, but picking a movie that both of you would likely enjoy, that is a real challenge. We usually alternate in choosing something to watch on our movie date nights, meaning one night she chooses and another night I choose, but somehow, even on my nights, we still end up watching her favorite movie lol. So if struck between the two extremes of superhero movies and cheesy romantic comedies here is a little list for you to balance it out and make sure everyone enjoys the show 🙂

10 Date Night Movies For Her

My movie selection depends on the mood and honestly speaking, on time of the month (ladies, you know what I am talking about 😉 ) Most times I pick documentaries or dramas, but one week of the month I all into the romantic comedies. To make sure I don’t overwhelm my partner with a lethal dose of cheesiness I try to spread out movie nights across my monthly cycle.

Here is the list of date night movies for women going from those emotionally stable days to the “let me just cry” part of the month:

  • Inception
  • Green Book
  • Passengers
  • Jurassic World
  • Mr & Mrs Smith
  • A Star is Born
  • Crazy Rich Asians
  • Pretty Woman
  • P.S. I Love You
  • The Notebook

Why Settle For Just One Movie on Date Night?

In all seriousness date night should always be about working together and enjoying eachothers company. Talk about the movie selection before it starts and make sure that you’re both on the same page about it. Don’t pick a movie that someone absolutely hates – one person will always prefer the movie over the other person but try to take turns.

Make sure to check out our movie night in date experience in our dates section.
